Shiatsu is a Japanese manual therapy based on pressure applied with the fingers, hands<\/strong>, and elbows to specific points on the body, known as “acupuncture points or pressure points.” It aims to balance the vital energy (Ki) <\/strong>flowing through the meridians. It promotes deep relaxation<\/strong>, relieves physical tension<\/strong>, and supports the body’s natural capacity for self-regulation<\/strong>. Beyond treatment, Shiatsu supports a holistic process based on self-awareness, emotional regulation, and lasting recovery.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

This gentle and non-invasive approach acts on multiple levels\u2014nervous, immune, and circulatory\u2014helping to reduce stress, relieve muscle pain, improve mobility, and boost vitality.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Origins and evolution<\/h2><\/div>

Derived from ancient Chinese practices (Tao-Yinn), Shiatsu developed in Japan alongside Amma and Do-In. In the 20th century, Tokujiro Namikoshi and Shizuto Masunaga contributed to its growth and to its modern, holistic dimension.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Furthermore, after studying and practicing Thai massage since 2007, I developed a personal approach, Thaytsu. This method is a synergy between the passive yoga of Thai massage and the deep energetic work of Shiatsu.<\/strong> Thaytsu, born from this encounter between energetic depth and bodily dynamism<\/strong>, offers a complete and immersive experience through pressures, mobilizations, and stretches<\/strong>, for a holistic and transformative treatment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>
